July 2020 COVID-19 up date
One of the reasons why Therapi Tylino was established was to provide a professional caring touch. During the present uncertain times, it is uncertain where Sports massage therapists stand in the coronavirus situation.
The Dalai Lama provided spiritual advice when he famously said,
“There is no point in worrying. If you can do something about a situation then no need to worry. And if you can’t do something about a situation then there is also no need to worry.”
Sage words indeed and never more pertinent.
There are things that are outside of my control regarding COVID-19; mainly when the government agrees to practitioners having a viable schedule that will be suitable to incorporate the conditions needed to allow Sports Massage Therapy to initiate the 'hands-on approach'. Unfortunately, the 'distancing' rule still applies until further notice.
There are procedures that can be applied to protect clients and myself; the priority being self-protection from exposure to COVID-19 from and to clients, whilst protecting all parties from the transmission to and/or between individual massage.
I am staying current via trusted internet sources with the research and advice regarding COVID-19 from NHS UK, public health Wales, professional association, CThA, and GCMT.
I have achieved COVID-19 awareness course the certificates are available here
The Risk Assessment has been passed (see here) and The PPE is waiting to be used to provide therapy for my clientele. Read about it here
